iyf2016aSai Youth form an integral part of the Sathya Sai Organisations, worldwide. In July of 2016, there will be the Sathya Sai International Youth Festival at Prashanti Nilayam, India. In preparation for this festival, Sai Youth everywhere are encouraged to follow a personal spiritual plan: often called a sadhana plan. The International Youth Coordinator has provided one such plan for the spiritual uplift of youth – or, as the message shares – indeed all else – Adults and Children.

The Sadhana of Love is a spiritual discipline programme lovingly dedicated to Sathya Sai Baba and His mission to help humanity realise its inherent divinity through the manifestation of divine love. The Sadhana of Love document is available here.

Guided by one’s conscience, the voice of God within, the Sai Youth can chose any of four sadhanas to practice from a wide range of spiritual disciplines drawn from Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings. It is recommended that one sadhana be selected from each of the four steps of the programme: Self-confidence, Self-satisfaction, self-sacrifice and Self-realisation. These steps form Sathya Sai Baba’s path to Self-realisation. On Swami’s 90th Birthday, the Sadhana of Love will also be available on the new SSIO website with a sadhana selection tool to aid the selection process.

Sai Youth are encouraged to lovingly and consistently practise their four chosen sadhanas in the period leading up to the Sathya Sai International Youth Festival, to be held in Prasanthi Nilayam from 12-14 July 2016. Adults and children as well as youth not attending the festival are heartily encouraged to join in. This is a divine opportunity for us all to focus with full awareness on love, purify our hearts and minds, and realise love as our true Self.

Sathya Sai Baba’s life and teachings centre on love and so the “spiritual discipline of love”, or the practice of love, is central to devotees’ lives. As such, the Sadhana of Love programme recognises that love is the underlying source, path and goal of all sadhanas. For regardless of the type of sadhana, it is love that is important. In the practice of sadhana, Swami’s loving guidance and our own experience demonstrates that it is love alone that prompts, energises and fulfils sadhana. Thus, the Sadhana of Love programme places supreme importance on the practice and manifestation of love through sadhana or spiritual efforts.

The Sadhana of Love is a divine opportunity for all devotees to walk the path of love, manifest the love we already are and merge in the Ocean of Love.
