A Working Bee took place at the Sathya Sai School – Dungay Campus – on the weekend of November 7th and 8th. Many devotees and volunteers joined together to undertake all important tasks for the new school to take students next year. The National Service Coordinator shares a report.
The National Service Coordinator reports, the Working Bee last weekend (Nov 7th and 8th) went really well. Many thanks to all of you who played a key role in making it a great success!
We have sent some photos from last weekend. Key activities undertaken were clearing of bush in preparation for a meditation area, cleaning, gardening and mulching, jet cleaning the basketball court, mowing, painting, amongst many other activities. Also many thanks to all of you who provided food, beverages, car-pickups and accommodation.
As we look forward to the next Working Bee in December from Dec 9th -13th, we all can play key roles in preparing our Secondary campus to be ready for School in 2016 and also to ensure our Primary campus continues to be maintained to a high standard. For all those planning to fly in for the working bee in Dec, please make sure you book your
flights early as prices will get higher over the next 3 weeks. Please contact me on SundaramSudhan@gmail.com or 0404 829 385, if you need help in any way.
In order to have these Volunteer Service activities happening on a regular basis and also to prepare for our Working Bees in a structured way, we would like to collect some data to create a database of all Volunteers with various skill sets and also collate information from members interested in supporting and contributing to the working bees that are planned. To fulfil the needs of our Sai School we are looking for members who can support our school in many specialist skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, IT hardware (Network, Cabling and Server solutions), architecture and event management.
Interested persons may contact their Chairperson or Service Coordinator for more information on how to volunteer.
