Sai Devotees in NSW Region East are undertaking a year-long service activity of Bushcare; the first activity was completed on 19 March 2016 and this is the second activity for 16 April 2016. The region has undertaken complete 5 Bushcare service events for the year.
What is Bushcare?
The Bushcare program provides an opportunity for volunteers to assist with a variety of environmental activities including tree planting, bush regeneration, weed removal and habitat restoration.
The project takes place around the suburbs of Strathfield and provides a practical opportunity for volunteers to practice selfless service as the process of planting trees and regenerating bush creates more opportunities for a variety of creatures including insects, reptiles and mammals to have access to shelters.
Plants and trees are also an important source of oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. Thus by contributing time and effort to this worthwhile project, you are giving Nature a hand, contributing to the community and gaining satisfaction of doing your share.
