The Olympic Games are upon us and as we watch these Olympians compete we are amazed by their aim and ability to be “faster, higher, stronger”. As we seek to understand their motivations and drive to get to where they are today , we marvel at their:

~ devotion to their sport
~ discipline to training
~ sense of duty to themselves and their country (to be the best they can be),
~ discrimination (on what is best , to be the best)
~ determination to succeed

ALL HUMAN VALUES!

These role models show us that “genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration”. They are talented BUT to draw out those talents they needed to work hard, they needed to put in the effort.

At Sathya Sai School we believe everyone of us is a role model, everyone of us has the ability to shine and everyone of us is divine! However like the Olympians of this modern era – we need to draw out these abilities and talents through constant, consistent, conscious effort! It requires all of us to practice these 5 Ds of devotion, discipline, duty, discrimination and determination and have the patience to see our humanness take shape and form.

I invite all on this journey to our divine selves by consistently working towards our goals, being the best we can be and practice!
