The Institute of Sathya Sai Education Australia (ISSEA) has organised a special workshop on parenting. In this industrialised society, we live in, there are many courses available to ensure we are adequately trained and qualified for our jobs. However, there are not many to guide us through the great responsibility of bringing up the next generation to be ideal citizens. Parents learn on the job as it were, often imitating their parents and friends. Good values are gained by children by “Osmosis” and example. The Sathya Sai Values Parenting programme offers an opportunity to fulfil this great task based on a values-based programme, with a spiritual basis and insight.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, 1 April 2017 at Prairiewood, NSW.
All are welcome.
This ISSEA workshop will use the learning and experiences gained over a number of years by Bob and Roz Molloy. The Molloys have dedicated their lives to the Sathya Sai School in Murrwillumbah NSW, a school that has integrated the human values of Love, Peace, Truth, Non-violence and Right Conduct within the normal curriculum. The workshop will be based on one they developed for the parents of the children at the school. It would be of interest to note that most of the parents there are not members of the Sathya Sai organisation.
The aim of the workshop is to empower participants to take this programme to their own homes and schools – their children’s school, their grandchildren’s school, or their relatives and friends’ children’s school.
It is hoped that our general membership and the public and subsequently their children would benefit from this service. While the first workshop is going to be in Sydney, it is proposed to have similar ones in other states as well.
