Nunwading Victoria Centre of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG is conducting an evening of creating positive awareness of Islam and the significance of Ramadan on Thursday, 29 June 2017.
‘Let the different faiths exist, let them flourish and let the glory of God be sung in a variety of tunes. That should be the ideal.’ – Sathya Sai Baba
Although the Sathya Sai Organisation is a spiritual organisation with no affiliation to a particular religion, it encourages all to seek understanding and tolerance of all religions as they are a means of connecting to God and fundamentally teach loving, peaceful behaviour towards all of humankind. In accordance with this, our groups observe some of the holy times of the different religions as a means of honouring them and getting to know those religions better. Nunwading Victoria is hosting such a celebration observing the Islamic holy time of Ramadan.
The program will consist of a talk by Imam Syed Wadood Janud exploring the religion of Islam and the significance of Ramadan. Devotional singing will be part of the evening’s proceedings. Refreshments will be served after the program.
