The ACT Region of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG warmly invites all to a Mother’s Day walk to raise awareness for Breast Cancer research.

Sai group members in the ACT Region will join the Mother’s Day Classic Walk, an annual fun run and walk, to raise awareness for breast cancer research.

The aim of the Mother’s Day Classic, established in 1998, is to deliver a healthy and inspirational community event that brings the whole community in each state and territory together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer. . Over the last 20 years the Mother’s Day Classic has raised in excess of 30 million dollars for breast cancer research with more than 1.1 million people having walked or run more than 6.5 million kilometres.

It was well known that Sathya Sai Baba’s mother, Easwaramma, was the direct inspiration for the mammoth social service projects which make the name Sathya Sai shine throughout the world. On several occasions Sai recalled this endearing facet of her life.

The ACT Region groups will commemorate Easwaramma Day in May 2018 by paying tribute to Easwaramma’s universal affection which was instrumental in evoking the goodness dormant in thousands of rural and urban women and children in her region and Easwarrama’s compassion that lit up the lives of countless numbers by dedicating this walk to her.

Join us wearing pink at the Mother’s Day Classic Walk on Sunday, 13 May 2018 at 9:40am at Ronda Terrace, Burley Griffin Lake.

The Mother’s Day Classic will be held in more than 100 locations, from capital cities to remote towns, all around Australia. Thus, it is also a great opportunity for all in the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG to join the Sai followers in the ACT Region in this walk.
