The SSIO Australia has been supporting SydWest Multicultural Services for several years by holding a special and highly successful Christmas function for seniors in Sydney’s western suburbs. The Young Adults Program is expanding our involvement this year by staging a ‘Christmas in July’ function.
SydWest Multicultural Services is a leading organisation for all cultural diversity issues responding to community needs and opportunities. It especially caters for refugees and migrants helping them settle into their new communities in Australia. For the last six years, the SSIO has been providing an annual Christmas entertainment for seniors in the area catering for the multicultural community and attracting about 300 people to the range of entertainments provided. It has been enjoyed by one and all with performances provide by both the children and the young adults in the SSIO fully engaging the audience who often enthusiastically join in the dancing and singing.
Because of the success of the Christmas function, members of our Young Adults Program have decided to hold a mid-year function as well with the theme, ‘Christmas in July’. The function is in collaboration with the Families Division of SydWest. All are most welcome to attend the festivities.
The program includes a Christmas musical presentation, activities and a light lunch. For catering purposes, it is important to register your intention of attending. See below.
