Women’s Health Week is an initiative of the Jean Hailes for Women’s Health Organisation, a national not-for-profit organisation promoting Women’s Health. Since 2013, it has been sponsoring a Women’s Health Week focusing on Women’s Health issues. This year, in observance of the event, the Sai Medial Unit of the SSIO Australia is collaborating with the Ladies Wings of a number of Regions and groups around Australia to put together locally appropriate Women’s Health seminars.

SSIO NSW East Region’s Ladies Program is hosting a High Tea at Lidcombe on Sunday, 16 June. The function is a chance to get together with other ladies and enjoy time together as well as explore spiritual subjects particularly relevant for women and based upon the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba.
All ladies are very welcome to attend.
Ladies’ Day is an annual global celebration of the Sathya Sai International Organisation. It was inaugurated by Sathya Sai Baba in 1995 to recognise and honour women’s role in creation. It is a day in which women are honoured and remembered with gratitude for their pre-eminent role in the family and society as instruments of love, compassion, forbearance, righteousness, and selfless sacrifice. Women in their nurturing and examples have the power to change the world. Celebrations will be held by the different regions in Australia and all are welcome to attend.
The Ladies from NSW East Region of the SSIO will be conducting a service activity in October assembling Birthing Kits for distribution to disadvantaged women in Developing Countries. This worthwhile service not only gives ladies the opportunity to help their sisters in potentially life-saving ways, but also to meet and join one another in a loving and caring environment. All ladies are very welcome, especially those who haven’t met with the group before.
Victoria Region East Ladies wing is kick starting it’s first Sai Ladies Session on July 15 this year with an enlightening and engaging opportunity to come together and share their experiences in a relaxed setting. The session will feature fun and practical tips to help day-to-day life as well as progress on the spiritual journey back to the source.
ACT Region’s Sai Young Adults and the Service Wing very warmly invites all to attend the Birthing Kit Assembly Day on Saturday, 26 May 2018. The activity consists of the assembling of life-saving birthing kits for use by women in remote and developing countries.
The Mother’s Day Classic Walk is an annual fun run and walk event supporting Breast Cancer Research. The event is organised by Women in Super since 1998. Various organisations as well as individuals support and participate in the event, including various regions and groups of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG (SSIO). This year’s event takes place on Mother’s Day, Sunday, 13 May 2018.

Sai group members in the ACT Region will join the Mother’s Day Classic Walk, an annual fun run and walk, to raise awareness for breast cancer research.
The aim of the Mother’s Day Classic, established in 1998, is to deliver a healthy and inspirational community event that brings the whole community in each state and territory together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer. . Over the last 20 years the Mother’s Day Classic has raised in excess of 30 million dollars for breast cancer research with more than 1.1 million people having walked or run more than 6.5 million kilometres.
