The Young Adults Program of the SSIO Australia has been successfully coordinating a blood, plasma and platelets donation drive for the last few years. Each year it gets bigger and bigger and the number of regular donors increases. Blood donations are a life-saving activity and one which requires only a little time and little inconvenience, yet the outcomes can be so beneficial to many in critical need. This is truly an expression of love for our fellows when we give blood.

Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday was 23 November 1926. Since that date, His inspirational life, teachings and guidance has attracted millions throughout the world. Every year, the anniversary of His birth is celebrated and honoured by the organisation He founded, the Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO), through special local commemorations for which all are very warmly welcomed.
Born on 23 November 1926, Sathya Sai Baba during His lifetime inspired millions with His teachings and guidance towards lives dedicated to self transformation by fostering the qualities He nominated as Human Values, Truth, Peace, Righteousness, Non-violence, and above all love towards our fellow man and all of creation. The cornerstone of this development He recommended is Selfless Service to those in need; a practice that He exemplified throughout His life in many ways. All of this was to develop a closer relationship with God and a continual exploration of our own inherent divinity.
The SSIO is a body of people who are inspired by His teachings coming from the many different faiths and who have affinity with the Unity of Faiths, and who especially put into practice His teachings of Selfless Service to the communities in which they belong, as well as further afield.
Every year, the anniversary of His birth is a time of celebration of His life and influence and a reflection on the legacy of His teachings.
