NSW’s Tweed Council is taking a pro-active role in encouraging sustainability in their area recognising the importance of management of the environment for social and economic well-being as well as for preservation for the future. On 15 November 2019, they conducted the inaugural ceremony presenting awards to Sustainability Champions. The Sathya Sai College at Murrwillumbah was the recipient of the People’s Choice Award for Schools.

The Sathya Sai Medical Units of Australia and Fiji carried out its 13th annual free Medical Camp in Fiji between 12 and 16 August 2019 at Dreketi Central College and Korotari Arya Primary School in the rural areas of the Island of Vanua Levu, Fiji. A large team of health professionals and volunteers carried out a total of 1775 consultations for 1018 patients.

The Sai Australia YouTube channel was first launched 2 years ago on 17 September 2017 with the primary purpose of sharing locally produced and unique Australian Sai video content for the benefit of Sai members and the wider community.

On 20 March 2019 the SSIO attended a special event organised by the Australian Red Cross Blood Service NSW to honour blood donation contributions provided by members of by organisations involved in their Red25 programme. The SSIO’s drive styled ‘Liquid Love’ received an Achievement Award for our contributions during 2018. This is an ongoing potentially life-saving service project commenced some years ago.
The SSIO, the SSSSO of India and the SSSCT have issued a joint statement about the life, teachings and works of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The statement also includes revelations and warnings relating to the Muddenahalli activities.
