SYA CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The theme of the Conference is best expressed in its title “Right Living in Society”
which immediately leads us to “Values
in Action”. This important foundation will be
addressed in sessions for the Sai Youth. All invited speakers will be giving sessions in the Youth program.
The World Youth Conference held in Prashanti Nilayam pre Guru Purnima 2007 was a watershed event in the lives of Sai Youth the world over. The preceding Sadhana Plan tilled our hearts, preparing it for sowing the seeds of the universal, timeless Sai values. The grace that Swami poured on His youth through His nectarine discourses, immaculate care and limitless generosity will forever warm our hearts. Numerous guiding lights completed the Sai experience through their speeches.
The youth sessions at the Sai National Conference 2008 aim to bathe the Sai Youth of Australia with the waves of the ocean that was World Youth Conference, specifically seeking practical guidance for “Right Living in Society” through the Sadhana Plan and Swami's World Youth Conference discourses. The basis of the sessions will be the real experiences, distilled from the sincere practice of these two intertwined approaches, of the Sai Youth of Australia presenters from around Australia, using innovative methods of delivery and eliciting attendees' participation. Topics include:
- Power of Discrimination
- Being the change we want to see in the world
- Importance of dietary control
- I am Sai
In addition, there will be sessions by ex-Sai Institute students, workshops on the two national Sai Youth of Australia projects, Love@Work and YNet and an Easter service shared with the general assembly.

Explanatory Notes
Workshops
On both Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be two sessions each of 90 minutes duration allocated to working sessions. There are three categories, and up to 9 concurrent sessions, to select from. People can self-select, although some sessions will have a maximum size due to the constraints of the venue.
Seminars
Sessions run by overseas guest speakers involving larger groups, as well as sessions run by local speakers requiring dissemination of important information, with less two way involvement with participants.
Inspirational Sessions
Sessions conducted by people who have spent much time in Swami's presence, including students of Sai, and long time devotees who have received much Sai grace
Children's Sessions
There will be children program on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm,
including play practice. There will be NO children's program on Friday or Monday.
All registered children should meet at the information desk by 8:45am both mornings where they will be met and taken to the allocated rooms. There they will be given a time table for the two days, which will include EHV activities, song practice and performance, EHV games and the Concert play practice. The Concert play practice is scheduled 4-5pm on both days so that some children could stay a bit longer if needed.
There is no truth higher than living righteously in society.
