The Sathya Sai Devotees of suburban Sydney, regions East and West, invite you to participate in a program to celebrate unity between faiths through the pre-eminent value of unconditional love. There will be talks and presentations from many faith groups in the region, and a talk from Dato Jegadeesan on “Uniting through Love”.
Unite Through Love:
The goal of this program is to celebrate unity between faiths through the pre-eminent value of unconditional love. In this day and age of disharmony and conflict, we want to come together for an afternoon of positivity and togetherness to remind ourselves that there is oneness within all of us. The gathering in and of itself is an extremely important part of the message that is attempted to be conveyed, that different religious and cultural groups most definitely can exist in perfect harmony based on our underlying bond of love.
The program will feature groups and individuals of various faiths who will express their perspective of love through speeches, musical presentations and dance.
We are also fortunate to be joined by our guest of honour, Mr Jega Jagadeesan, who has been travelling around the world to spread the message of unity of faiths and to inspire countries around the world to gather in the spirit of harmony.
Please join us for this special event, as we unite together to make the world a more peaceful and loving place. Together we can make a difference and focus on the values that unite us.
All are welcome!
“What is wanted now is effort, courage and faith. In effort you must follow a regulated routine learnt from some adept in the field. For courage you must feel your own importance for your uplift; never call yourself a sinner born in sin, bred in sin and engaged in sin. No, that kind of self-condemnation ill becomes a child of God, a child of immortality.
In every one of you, God is the moving spirit, the very Soul; how then can you be evil, when you are here for fulfilling God’s purpose, according to his Will, His Plan, His Law? He has endowed you with many faculties so that you may seek Him and reach Him. You are not therefore a helpless neglected individual undergoing a sentence of death. You are the embodiment of bliss, born to a rich heritage, which is yours for the asking. Only you do not ask. Have faith in your destiny and work gladly and steadily to attain it. ” ~ Divine Discourse, Sathya Sai Baba, 25 June 1960.
