The Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG’s Sai Lifestyles Programme is launching in Sydney one of its units on the important topics of the Vedas and Vedanta. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in these ancient scriptures and the philosophy developed around them to learn more and experience their profundity.

Sathya Sai Baba stated about the Vedas,

‘What is the basic teaching of the Vedas? …you are a child of immortality.’,
Sathya Sai Speaks Vol 4 Chapt 33

‘The Vedas embody the sublime truths experienced by the sages and the seers. The Vedas proclaim the truths, which are valid for all time,…relating to the well-being of mankind and the divinization of human life. The Vedas taught the principles of daily life and how people should order their lives.’
Sanatana Sarathi 1996 p 203

The Vedas are the thousands of years old rich spiritual texts of India and Vedanta is the philosophical developments from their interpretation which aim to utilise the Vedas towards spiritual progress and maturity. To further their understanding and relevance in spiritual practice, the SSIO is including this unit in its Sai Lifestyles programme.

Nick Goritsas, an ardent student of late Professor Sundaram (Carlingford Centre) will be the Guest Speaker for the occasion. Mr Goritas will touch on the essence of Vedas and Vedanta in plain English language. His scientific view of Vedanta is quite exemplary. This will be followed by two Sai Young Adults Sridhar and Ramnaresh facilitating workshops and Q&A sessions on the relevant topics with audio visual presentations.

It is planned to have other Sai seniors who are exponents on scriptures to participate in the follow up discussions.

Lunch will be served on completion of the program at 12.30pm
