As a Christmas celebration, the Victorian Regions of the SSIO are hosting meal, carol singing and a fun evening for the homeless. This is special part of their regular Thursday night feeding program. All are very welcome and encouraged to join us in this special event.
‘Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God; for God is love.
1 John 4. 7-8
‘Start the day with Love;
Spend the day with Love;
Fill the day with Love;
End the day with Love;
This is the way to God.
Sathya Sai Baba
Christmas is a time for contemplating the blessings God has given to the world and especially to ourselves. It is a time when many reflect with compassion on the situation of those less fortunate. It was with such people that Christ spent much of His time, alleviating their misery and spreading His message of love. The SSIO is committed to Selfless Service as encouraged by Sathya Sai Baba and all the world’s religions. The units involved have been conducting a feeding program at the Markets for a number of years, always with food prepared with love. The event planned is to share this love and spread a little joy at this holy time of the year. A special meal will be accompanied with carols and amusement. Who knows, maybe Santa may even make an appearance.
