Christmas is a joyous occasion of the year symbolising God’s care for humanity, love, hope and a coming together for many. This year, following the major health crisis and its consequential devastating impacts, its symbolism is perhaps more potent than ever.
Its special significance in the Christian calendar marking the anniversary of the birth of Christ, the redeemer and the Lord of Love makes it a very holy period. Whilst the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG is a spiritual organisation with no particular religious affiliations, its membership is composed of people from all religions and it respects all of the religions and the various ways in which God is named and envisaged. It regularly observes major religious festivals as a mark of this respect. This year it is offering a special online Christmas program prepared by the Victorian and South Australian Regions of the SSIO to commemorate the occasion.
