Education Week is an annual event observed in August by the SSIO with an emphasis on the Sai Spiritual Education program (SSE) encompassing the principles and aspects of education that Sathya Sai Baba taught for spiritual and social uplift and development. There is a primary focus on the human values of Peace, Truth, Right Conduct, Non-violence and especially Love, which are values enshrined in all the major religions.
There is an expression, ‘plant a tree for your grandchildren’. The trees we plant generally develop their full grandeur and potential well beyond the life of those who plant them. However, even during our short span, they provide numerous services to humankind and the entire natural environment: shade; climate amelioration, global and local; habit and air services to name a few, not to mention their aesthetic appeal. The SSIO Australia will again participate in the national tree planting drive.
NSW Region West of the SSIO Australia is commemorating the 95th Year of the Advent of Sathya Sai Baba with two special service activities: a Birthing Kit promotion and a prolonged Ceiling on Desires initiative.
Continuing the theme for the events, ‘Unity is Divinity: Purity is Enlightenment’, another webinar is programmed for Sunday, 28 June 2020. The speaker, Sriranganatha Raju, has delivered many talks covering the teachings and mission of Sathya Sai Baba and this webinar promises to be another fine one.
Covid19 group meeting restrictions remain in various stages in Australia. To accommodate the important Guru Poornima celebration, held in honour of the spiritual teacher and guide, the Young Adults of the SSIO Australia will be providing a web-based celebration.
Sathya Sai Baba touched the lives of millions during his time with us. His example of ceaseless, selfless service in alleviating the distress of those in need has inspired those who have found His teachings an outpouring of wisdom. The Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO) was founded to practice the teachings and to provide members with opportunities to serve their communities, especially those in dire need. Sai Baba has been and continues to be an inspiration and guide for many spiritual seekers. The anniversary of his passing on 24 April 2011 is a special date observed the world over.
The observance of the anniversary of Sai Baba’s passing on 24 April 2011, is styled the Aradhana Mahotsavam, an offering of love and gratitude to Sai.
