The Sathya Sai Centre of Westmead from NSW Region West of the SSIO has adopted a village in Sri Lanka providing a range of services to uplift the community. This is part of an international programme by the SSIO identifying a number of communities that can be adopted and assisted within the resources of individual units or regions.

On 20 August 2017, NSW Region West of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG (SSIO) hosted a multicultural, multi-faith community event styled ‘ONENESS: Coming Together to Make Our World a Better Place.’ The event was part of an ongoing Unity of Faiths and community-building initiative of the Region and was a highly successful day’s activity of music, song, dance, drama and addresses developing the theme of Unity in Diversity.
NSW Region West of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG is hosting a multi-faith, multicultural community entertainment to awaken and foster the awareness of the Oneness in Humanity, regardless of race, creed or position and to share the message of Unity in Diversity. The event will take place at Wetherill Park on Sunday, 20 August 2017.
The Sathya Sai Centre of Bonnyrigg NSW together with other members from NSW Region West of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG participated in a Interfaith Event organised by the Fairfield City Council in Sydney’s South West. The event was a celebration of the many cultures and faiths that are represented in the suburb of Bonnyrigg. The participants included amongst others, the Vietnamese Community Centre, Bonnyrigg Mosque, Gracepoint Presbyterian Church, Lao Buddhist Temple, and Parkside Church.
NSW West Region of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG is hosting a Family Fun Day and Wildlife Education Workshop. There will be many fun-filled activities for all the family including meeting and greeting a variety of animals and reptiles.
The event will take place at Darcy Road Public School Wentworthville on Saturday, 18 March 2017.

NSW West Region of the Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG are holding a weekend ladies retreat in focused on spirituality, health and well-being. The program and the beautiful bushland setting of the venue promises to provide a delightful, uplifting and memorable weekend.
The retreat will take place from Friday, 3 February to Sunday, 5 February on a 60 acre property at Kenthurst.
The Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG celebrated the birth of Christ and Christmas in a number of REGIONS throughout Australia. The celebrations were of a variety of approaches which aimed to capture the true spirit of Christmas; love, compassion, joy and feeling of togetherness with our fellow man. Carol singing, special Christmas spiritual services and community service activities with both the fellow members and the wider community were the main ingredients that were featured.
NSW Region West had a Unity of Faith Pilgrimage on Saturday 10 September. The pilgrimage was organised to visit Parklea Sikh Temple and Lankarama Buddhist Vihara. The highlights of the event were talks on Sikh faith and Buddhist faith, tour of the temples and prayer.
