With the Australian bushfires season still a long way to go and many fires still burning, prayers are something all can contribute towards amelioration of the crisis as support for our affected communities. Woolloongabba Centre of Queensland Region of the SSIO is holding a special prayer meeting on Sunday, 19 January. All are welcome to come and join in.
The 24th of April is the day when Sathya Sai Baba transcended from this transient world into our hearts. Sathya Sai followers all over the world observe April 24 by remembering Him and practising the teachings of Love and Selfless Service to the community. The day will also be observed as World Human Values Day. Events commemorating this day will be held by SSIO throughout Australia.
The Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG, in keeping with its multi-faith spiritual approach of observing holy days of a number of world religions, will be observing the Hindu religion’s Maha Shivarathi, a night dedicated to the aspect of God know as Shiva. The night is traditionally observed as one in which concentration on God in different ways is observed from sunset to sunrise the next day.
A number of the organisation’s regions will be observing this sacred period.
