NSW Region celebrated Guru Poornima with a creative and heartfelt program on Saturday, 12 July 2025.
Over 60 Young Adults came together to put forward a program to the theme of In Sai Love.
The program was set up as a Netflix show, with a scripted live play presented in the form of episodes with “ad breaks” in between, that included a musical offering, dance performance, presentation, video and devotional singing. Although the program was led largely by Young Adults both in front and behind the scenes, they collaborated with adults and SSE children to offer a united program for this special occasion.
The purpose of the theme, In Sai Love, was to reflect on how we can live every day in love through our thoughts, actions and deeds by following the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Through the journey of Guru Poornima 2025, Young Adults were encouraged to think about how we can be more mindful in our lives so we can radiate divine love.
The journey of Guru Poornima 2025 began with a quote, which guided the planning of the program.
See with the eyes of love.
Hear with the ears of love.
Work with the hands of love.
Think thoughts of love.
Feel love in every nerve.Sathya Sai Baba Divine Discourse August 1971

Pre-GP program: Reflect in Sai Love
The first two lines of the quote, to see and hear love, was lived through a pre-GP program on Saturday, 28 June 2025. This program brought around 30 Young Adults, SSE children and teachers together to prepare artworks and musical compositions representing love.
There were four art stations created for creative expression, each dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s love as a mother, father, teacher and inner self. These artworks were displayed at the Region Guru Poornima program.
The musical element gave singers and instrumentalists the opportunity to compose tunes and sing songs that brought alive the quote.
GP service: Connect in Sai Love
NSW Young Adults initiated three service activities for Guru Poornima 2025, to bring alive the last three lines of the quote.
Members of all ages were able to contribute to the following service activities:
- Hope in a Suitcase drive supporting children in and out of foster care
- Over 13 full suitcases, plus a variety of blankets, toys, baby items, books, activities were donated
- Weekly tutoring and homework help for children through TRACK (Tamil Resettlement and Community Konnect)
- 6 members have committed to this service activity long-term
- Liquid Love drive
- 5 members donated liquid love during the period of Guru Poornima, with many members contributing through their regular donation cycle
The energy and vibrations of Guru Poornima 2025 have continued to carry through after the program, with fond memories and experiences shared by the Young Adult group.
