Victoria Region Guru Poornima Celebrations

The Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Melbourne, in conjunction with the Sri Sathya Sai Devotional Group of Southeast Melbourne joyously celebrated Guru Poornima on 2nd August 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The evening brought together devotees in a spirit of gratitude, reflection and devotion to our beloved Bhagawan.

NSW Region Guru Poornima Celebration

NSW Region celebrated Guru Poornima through a journey of devotion, reflection and service, culminating in a regional program on Wednesday, 29 July at Ermington Community Centre. Centered upon the theme of ‘Awaken the Light Within’, this year’s Guru Poornima celebrations invited our NSW Adults, Young Adults and SSE Children to connect and introspect on how recognising Swami’s presence, guidance and divine light enables us to become part of a greater collective light – experiencing spirituality not only inwardly, but expressing it through how we speak, serve, love and live.

Tasmanian Region Guru Poornima Celebration

Devotees from the groups at Hobart and Launceston travelled to the small township of Ross midway between the two groups to enable a combined celebration of the special event. They were joined with 4 distance-isolated members from across the state. A total of 17 participated in the celebration including two of the member’s children. 

ACT Guru Poornima Celebrations

Guru Poornima was commemorated in the ACT Region on Sunday, 26 July 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the Senior Citizens Centre Hall in Turner. The program commenced with Athe, Regional Devotional Coordinator and the Master of Ceremonies, warmly welcoming approximately 60 Sai followers who had gathered on a crisp Canberra winter morning to celebrate the sacred occasion of Guru Poornima.

Sathyam Sivam Sundaram Gratitude Offering

The National Ladies Program of the SSSIOA reverently continued their “Journey with Sai” and embarked on Spirituality 101 with the next Collective Reading Sadhana of the book ‘Sathyam Sivam Sundaram’ (SSS) Volume 2 (authored by Prof N.  Kasturi M.A, B.L).

NSW Members in Action | Breast Cancer Cushion Project

On Sunday, 25 January, the SSSIO NSW Region Ladies, Men and Young Adults successfully carried out a community service activity focused on the creation of 140 breast cancer cushions for patients at Westmead Hospital. This initiative was undertaken in partnership with the Zonta Club and aimed to provide comfort, care, and practical support to individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment.

Tasmania Retreat 2026

Since 1990, Tasmania Region has conducted an annual residential spiritual retreat. For over 20 years, that retreat has been conducted at Carnacoo Scout Camp on the Tamar River northern Tasmania. This year, the retreat was held from Friday evening, 6 March until Monday, 9 March. In keeping with the spirit of the National Theme, Spirituality 101, our retreat theme was ‘Your Life is My Message’.

NSW Region Sai 100 Celebrations

!! NEW !! The NSW Region’s Sai100 Celebrations were held as a sacred and joyous offering to commemorate one hundred years of the Divine Advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The event drew a staggering number of attendees, with devotees and community members filling the auditorium, conference hall, and foyer, creating an atmosphere of unity, reverence, and celebration.
