WHAT IS SPIRITUAL EDUCATION?
Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) is a values-based education program for children that focuses on developing good character, self-confidence, and a sense of responsibility.
The program helps children learn how to live by universal human values through engaging in practical and meaningful experiences
SSE is offered across Australia as part of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation of Australia & PNG, and is open to families from all cultural and faith backgrounds.
The Program helps children grow into a confident, compassionate, and responsible individual with strong values for life.
OUR CLASSES & PROGRAMS
The key component of SSE program is the human values classes that are offered free of charge by trained volunteer teachers at Sai Centres across Australia.
Through silent sitting, prayer, devotional singing, storytelling, and interactive activities, children learn to understand, practise, and live the universal human values of Love, Peace, Truth, Right Conduct, Non-Violence in their everyday lives.

The SSSIO Australia National Education Wing conducts an annual National Teacher Enrichment Programme to support the ongoing growth and development of SSE teachers. The programme welcomes current, past, and aspiring SSE teachers to come together to learn, share, and grow in the spirit of Sai Education.
The programme provides opportunities for teachers to deepen their understanding of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's philosophy of education, enhance their teaching skills, exchange best practices, and strengthen their personal and spiritual development. Through interactive workshops and collaborative learning, teachers are inspired to continually improve their ability to nurture the human values in children.
The 2026 National Teacher Enrichment Programme focused on supporting neurodiverse learners in SSE classrooms, equipping teachers with practical strategies to create more inclusive, compassionate, and value-centred learning environments where every child feels welcomed, understood, and empowered to thrive.

The SSSIO Australia National Education Wing offers the National Virtual SSE Teacher Training Programme for all aspiring SSE teachers, including young adults, SSE parents, and adult devotees who wish to serve in Sai Spiritual Education.
The programme provides a comprehensive foundation in the philosophy and practice of Sai Education through 22 interactive online modules. Participants explore the principles of Education in Human Values, effective teaching methodologies, lesson planning, classroom management, child development, and the role of an SSE teacher.
Following the online training, participants undertake a practical learning journey that includes lesson plan preparation, lesson presentation, and a structured mentoring programme under the guidance of experienced SSE teachers. This ensures that every trainee develops the confidence, skills, and understanding required to deliver meaningful and engaging SSE classes.
The programme aims to prepare compassionate, confident, and value-centred teachers who can inspire children through the practice of the five human values and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's vision of true education.

The SSSIO Australia National Education Wing, in collaboration with the National Sai Lifestyle Team, offers the Values Awareness for Parents Programme (VAPP) for parents across Australia.
Developed by the Institute of Sathya Sai Education Australia (ISSEA), VAPP empowers parents with practical tools and insights to nurture human values within the family. The programme helps parents understand the vital role values play in raising children, building strong relationships, and creating harmonious and happy homes.
Inspired by the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, VAPP encourages parents to lead by example and create a loving, value-centred environment where children can flourish emotionally, spiritually, and socially.
