The ACT Region celebrated Swami’s Centenary Celebrations on 23 November 2025 at the iconic Albert Hall in Canberra. The event brought together approximately 150 guests to commemorate the birth centenary of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp by brothers Sanjay, current President for the ACT Region, bro Govid, the incoming president for the ACT Region and sis Priya, ACT Region’s Coordinator of Sai Spiritual (SSE) program followed by a thought-provoking play, “Sai Outback Express,” presented by SSE children. The play depicted kids navigating the various pressures and challenges in their spiritual path, highlighting the importance of cultivating inner peace and tranquillity through Sai teachings. The plays exploration of kid’s struggleopia, digitopia, Christmas ville, parentopia and finally Sayiration resonated deeply with the audience.
A panel discussion featuring three Sai followers shared their personal journeys and experiences in their Sai Spiritual Journey, offering valuable insights, inspiration and tools.
The event also included a Narayana Service, collecting 30 bags of groceries, emphasizing the importance of selfless service. The bags were donated to Oz Harvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation. This has been a continuing service activity for the year with collections arranged during several important events.
Bro Sanjay, ACT’s Regional President extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all participants, including SSE children and teachers, instrumentalists and devotional singers, ladies for the prasad everyone who assisted with stage preparation and altar acknowledging their dedication and contributions in making the celebration a success. He also took the opportunity to introduce Govind the incoming ACT Region’s President.
The evening concluded with devotional singing, aarti, distribution of Vibhuti, and a sumptuous prasad. A replica of Sathya Sai’s Lotus feet was provided as a keepsake and blessing to all attending the celebration
The event celebrated Swami’s life and teachings, reminding all present of his words: “Those devoted to me have to treat joy and grief, gain and loss, with equal fortitude”. It was a was fitting celebration of Sri Sathya Sai’s life and teachings, leaving all present with a renewed sense of purpose and connection with Sai family and friends.
